Consultancy Services and Advice
Whether you are freelance, a theatre company or SME, our academic staff are experts in their fields and can offer you valuable insights and advice. We can work with you to assess your requirements quickly and accurately, we can then outline how the College’s resources can benefit you or your business.
Resources Centre
Our expertise in practice based learning combined with excellent facilities provide the best environment to develop, test and analyse performance work. The College has both ‘in the round’, proscenium and studio theatres. The Clive Barker Library houses a unique range of reference and research material. We are currently running four incubators in new writing, touring theatre, sound design and digital sceneography.
Theatre Production Facilities
The College has available for hire fully equiped workshop facilities, technical staff for all the main crafts in theatre production including fully equipped workshops, wardrobe facilites, sound show control and digital effects suites.
Work Placements
The Colleges’ undergraduate and post graduate students, particularly in the areas of design and production, undertake work placements. The placements form an important link between the college and the industry.
Continuing Professional Development
Theatre Futures throughout the year, offers short courses, seminars and events to its members. Developing new skills, sharing professional practice and master classes are the main activities. Short courses are often provided in response to requests from particular sectors of the industry and other courses in response to national and broad industrial agendas.
Rehearsal Facilities
The College has comprehensive modern rehearsal facilities which can provide companies with the opportunity to integrate the more technical aspects of a production as rehearsals progress. Each rehearsal room has ICT facilities that can provide high quality video conferencing, enabling directors and production managers to have more direct contact with producers and backers.
Recording Studios
Two fully equipped recording studios provide facilities for off line and live recording and editing. Off line editing suites enable the user to make fully use of the “live” studios therefore not compromising post production work.
